Qajar Iran, mid to late 19th century
Of circular shape, painted in cobalt blue, green, manganese pink, yellow, light blue and black against a milky white ground, covered in a very thick, glossy transparent glaze, depicting a typical Qajar warrior, possibly a prince or mythical king, on a white steed, slaying a spotted dragon, with Qajar architectures and flower sprays in the background, mounted on a black wooden frame with an inventory sticker at the back mentioning a gallery in Hanover Sq. and the name Colbert in pencil.
