Cast in the round, featuring the divine Lakshmi on a stepped base seated cross-legged in padmasana (full lotus position) over a stylised lotus pedestal with inverted petals, two of her hands holding padma (lotus flowers), one of the main attributes of this deity symbolising beauty, prosperity, and fertility, the other two hands held respectively in varada mudra (boon-granting gesture) and abhaya mudra ('fear not' gesture), presenting her as the goddess of abundance and blessings.
