Indian manuscript on gold-sprinkled paper, possibly a cover letter to an official statement, with 10ll. of black ink, evenly spaced modi script to the page, with interlinear marks, the document enhanced with rows of gilt floral stems including roses and tulips, and foliage, signed at the bottom and on the reverse, accompanied by its own circular red wax seal, stamped with 6ll. of Devanagari script, opening with an invocation and regards to Shri Rajashah Narp, with burgundy red silk thread and tassels, and an Indian brocaded pouch with rows of gold flowers.

Provenance: in a private Bristol collection in 1982 - 1985; then sold and purchased in the UK market by the present owner.
