Black ink and gold on off-white cotton, the calligraphic exercise panel with 6ll. to the page of dense, black ink tawqi' script in diagonal chalipa format, the text opening with the bismillah invocation and clustered in thin, golden cloudbands against a plain ground, set within concentric borders printed in ebru marbled and green paper, pasted on a cardboard mount.

Following the success of our inaugural sale earlier this June, our Islamic and Indian Art department is pleased to present their upcoming auction, Arts of India and the Islamic Lands, which is now live on our website.
