Opaque pigments heightened with gold and silver on wove paper, the large vertical composition depicting two ochre yellow-clad Brahmin priests officiating a puja for the temple murti (icon) of Srinathji (also spelled Shri Nath Ji), the central presiding deity of the Vaishnava sect known as Pushtimarg (the way of grace), revered as a self-manifesting form of Krishna, the temple painted in silver, thick palm leaves emerging from the sides, the painting set within black and silver rules, and light green and bold red borders.
