Of rectangular form, the hinged cover superbly chased in high relief with an elaborate village scene, featuring a procession of figures, cattle, and horse-drawn carts before stilted bamboo houses nestled among lush trees, the side panels richly decorated with repoussé and chased aquatic motifs including crabs, fish, and lobsters among water plants, all framed by engraved borders, the interior with further repoussé decoration, the base plain.
