A CHINESE CANTON FAMILLE ROSE BOWL AND A DISH FOR ZILL AL-SULTAN

Dated AH 1297, corresponding to 1879/80

Both similarly painted with panels of figures alternating with cartouches of birds and flowers on a gilt ground, all reserved on a ground of stylised lotus against a deep blue ground, divided by cash bands, the exterior of the bowl and the well of the dish with roundels containing gilt calligraphy
