A PAIR OF CHINESE COPPER 'LUDUAN' INCENSE BURNERS
Possibly early 20th century
Each standing four-square, with a stocky ovoid body entangled with sprigs of lingzhi fungus and a fluffed-up tail, adorned with a necklace of tassels and a bell, the head encircled with a thick mane fastened to the body with a hinge, the mouth open wide to release smoke, revealing rows of fangs and tongues, the bulging eyes looking skywards, with a single curved horn to the top of the head between perked up ears, the undersides with four-character Qianlong marks
