Independent Expert in Islamic & Indian Art
Ilaria Bellucci holds a MA degree in History of Art and a postgraduate degree in Asian Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. For the past 13 years, she has served as Head of the Islamic and Asian Art Department in leading Italian auction houses, while also working as an art consultant and advisor for institutions, museums and private collectors.
She has co-curated and contributed to several international exhibitions, including Water, Islam and Art at the Museo d’Arte Orientale in Turin (2019) and the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (2021). She is also active in academia, currently pursuing a PhD focused on Modern and Contemporary Art from Iran, while lecturing at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and participating in international conferences and symposiums.
